Sip: Water Tracker ("Sip", "we", "the app") is an offline hydration tracking app. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it stays, and how it is used.
📦 Data We Store Locally
To provide its features, Sip stores the following data only on your device using Android's local storage (Room database and DataStore):
- Drink log entries (beverage type, amount, timestamp)
- Your daily water intake goal (in mL)
- Optional profile inputs used to calculate your goal (weight, sex, activity level, climate preference)
- Reminder settings (enabled/disabled, interval, quiet hours)
This data never leaves your device. We have no servers, no cloud sync, and no database that stores your information.
🚫 Data We Do Not Collect
- No names, email addresses, or account information
- No location data
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No advertising identifiers
- No crash reports sent to third-party services
- No data shared with third parties — ever
🔔 Notifications
If you enable drink reminders, the app uses Android's AlarmManager to schedule local notifications on your device. No notification content or delivery data is transmitted externally.
You can disable reminders at any time from the Reminders screen or from your device's notification settings.
🗑️ Deleting Your Data
All app data is stored locally on your device. To delete it completely, uninstall the app from your device. You can also clear individual drink entries from within the app.
👶 Children's Privacy
Sip does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Since no data is collected from any user, the app is safe for all ages.
🔄 Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this privacy policy, the new version will be posted at this URL. The effective date below will be updated accordingly.
We will never introduce data collection or third-party sharing without prominently disclosing it here first.
